Women in Credit Information and Resource Centre (WCIRC)
Islamabad, Pakistan.

Main Aims:
  1. To collect, collate and analyze all relevant data obtained from NGOs, Banks, CBOs, Government agencies, Donors, other resource centres and any other organizations involved in micro credit in Pakistan.
  2. To collect disaggregated data from sources such as the Federal Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Women's Development, and to carry out on-going research into various aspects of women and micro-enterprise development in Pakistan.
  3. To extend a support system to ensure effective utilization of credit, by identifying organizations which provide training to women in entrepreneurship development and management, and by providing a credit help line at WCIRC premises. To assist beneficiaries in accessing loans through the formal banking sector.
  4. To establish an archive of published and unpublished material on credit and women, as well as a data bank on micro-enterprise development. To disseminate as much information as possible, to interested parties. To produce a quarterly newsletter highlighting activities related to women and micro credit.
