Who is doing what?

hile much of the attention at the upcoming UN Conference on Sustainable Development will be on governments and civil society entities, businesses have not been far behind, Using sustainability goals for a number of reasons, such as cutting costs, Satisfying laws and regulations, branding new products and services, and other CSR goals, businesses have realized that sustainability is an essential prerequisite for future growth, and not an optional add-on.

Driving the presence of business in Rio+20 is the Business Action for Sustainable Development 2012 (BASD2012), a coalition of organizations led by the International Chamber of Commerce, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and the UN Global Compact.
