The key to effective use of graphic images to illustrate ideas or concepts is to show how different elements or issues interact with each other, including their relative importance to each issue, and the way they are linked.

How can interlinkages between different pieces of info be illustrated using the concept of interaction? How can concepts concepts/ideas be positioned in order to show the similarities and differences between them? What kind of interaction can be illustrated, for example, when two shapes overlap?
