Course Title:
Installation and Use of the Standard Runtime Edition (SRTE-2) of the FAO MicroBanking System

Organization:

Course Contents:
1. Installation and Configuration of the SRTE-2
2. Conversion of data from manual records to the computer
3. Using the SRTE-2 in your bank, cooperative or project

Target Participants:
1. Support staff who will be in charge of installation and support of the FAO MB system in their organization.
2. Trainers who will conduct training for end-users of the FAO MB system in their organization.

Qualifications:
Participants need to be fully acquainted with the office and field operations of their own organization, with the terms, conditions and procedures of the financial products and services and with the accounting and reporting system and practices of their organization. Participants are expected to bring sample copies of customer and account records and the GL Chart of Accounts of their own organization. Participants need to be able to use a computer or typewriter keyboard. Computer experience and knowledge of MS-DOS are helpful but not essential. The course will be conducted in English

Venue and Date:
Training College of the Cooperative Bank of Kenya Ltd., Nairobi, Kenya, 1-12 September, 1997

Course Fee:
US$3,100. This fee includes tutors/trainers, course material, board & lodging and all coffee and tea breaks. Air tickets and appropriate insurances must be purchased by the participants or their organization. In addition, it is recommended to provide for US$20 per day as pocket money for personal expenses.
PARTICIPANTS MUST ARRANGE FOR THEIR OWN TRAVEL AND MEDICAL INSURANCES

Number of Participants:
A maximum of 12 participants can be admitted and the number should not be less than eight. If applications exceed 12, organizers will make a selection, based on the target group criteria and qualifications. If less than eight applications are received, the course may be cancelled.
