THE GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH CENTER
The GRDC Research Programme on Oceans, Coasts and Small Islands
So what influence do oceans have on our life?
And we on the oceans? Why should we care??
About
GDRC's Oceans, Coasts and Small Islands programme aims to explore the intertwined challenges at the interface of marine and coastal environments - recognizing their critical role in climate resilience, human livelihoods and biodiversity.

Through focused research on issues such as the blue economy, coastal erosion and small island development, the programme offers policy-analyses, case studies and explainers that examine the governance, technology and community dimensions of sustainable ocean, coastal and island development.
